The Firm

Our company, which is located in a corner of the "Riviera Ligure", is devoted to olive cultivation, farm holidays and, in the winter months, lavender distillation in order to obtain pure lavender essence.

Our oil is the exclusive "Mosto" oil, which is obtained from "Taggiasca" olives, found in the valleys of Liguria. Only the first pressing of the olives is used and the process is carried out in the traditional way, using millstones.

On our farm you can stay in comfortable and rustic apartments. All apartments are within a few minutes of the Sea and offer unique views of the wide green landscape.

The lavender which blooms in our region, creates a gorgeous and romantic setting for a farm holiday. In addition in August it is possible to take part in the distillation process, which is a good opportunity to rediscover the ambience of the past. Even today the distillation process is carried out using antique stills from the 1920's.

Giuseppe Cotta explains:
"The firm was founded in 1976. I took the decision to concentrate on agriculture at the age of thirty, after I had worked abroad for several years and I realised that it was the right time to return to the countryside.

Swimming against the tide I decided to dedicate myself to the small company, which had been passed onto me by my 60-year-old father. In the years when masses of young people were leaving the countryside, after much consideration I decided to take a risk and take over the company, driven by a passion as well as the conviction that the worth of this land would be rediscovered."

"Today, in the year 2002, I can present my firm with pleasure and pride. After 25 years, my tireless work has borne fruit, and I hope and believe that this site is the best way to present my company."
